SUCCESSFUL ABRAHAM'S REGATTA

14 Abraham's crews participated on yesterday’s Abraham’s regatta in a sunny day, where the temperature reached 24°C and the sea temperature was 20°C. While waiting for a wind, we met on the fishing boat called Zlatoperka and had a snack. Meanwhile Abraham Pavle decided to swim in the warm sea.

After an hour, a weak maestral started to blow, so all the sailing boats finished the regatta before limit time.

The crew from sailing boat Tamara had all the Abraham members, but this year they were younger than a year before. The oldest couple was again from the saling boat TES II, Marija and Dominik Belingar, who got the cup for the oldest Abraham's couple with average age of 71 year, 2 months and 12 days.

85 persons participated at the evening event, among them also Savina and Mirko Bogič, the oldest Slovenian sailor, who will be 90 next week. Savina and Mirko shows to all Abrahams, how “Abrahams valcer” could be danced.

In a hard competition and few games the participants elected Miss and Mister Abraham. The honourable title of Miss Abraham goes to Alenka Koren form sailing boat Nagaja, Mister Abraham is Pavle Kobler, skipper of sailing boat Škontradura.

ABRAHAM'S REGATTA – last day for inscriptions trough our WEB page

Today until midnight is the last day for inscription to the Abraham's regatta trough our WEB page.

The inscriptions is possible also on the day of regatta, 28th October 2006 from 09:00 to 11:00 in the race office in bar Hangar in marina Izola, but according to the notice of race, the inscription fee is higher.
